The Rite of Work. Often it is said: "Work Hard!" However if we actually delve deep into the principle of working hard, we don't find something that is crucial the the concept. That is efficiency. Rather we should be striving for: "Working Smart" H

@thechristianalpha That's great advice! I do most of those already for my daily schedule. Been experimenting with the setting a time on activities. 😁
The Rite of the Romans! Today's focus is the principle that the ancient Romans had for becoming a man. Here's three stages we can learn from them: 1- Preparation period, a young boy from the age of five would be taken and taught skills in fighting,Colosseo, Roma, Italia
@riteofmanhood @thesedated thanks brother
@effortlessengagement @riteofmanhood looking forward to it bro 👌
The Rite of Respect. Respect is one of the greatest things that a man can accomplish. It is not simply, respecting others here and there. It is the consistency of responding to the worst of situations, with meekness, kindness and temperance. Respect
@riteofmanhood @thesedated solid answer
@riteofmanhood @thechristianalpha so the balance of power is key ? Great point.
The Rite of the Outdoors. With so many high rise developments around me, I often wonder how will the future generations who will most likely live in them, get outdoors and play, and hurt their knee while skateboarding. The knee hurting is metaphoric
@realsuperiormen Great question! No matter where you go there are forests, lakes or mountains somewhere nearby. Even if you live in a major metropolitan area like Tokyo or Mexico City there are always parks that are surprisingly beautiful. The key is to make a habit of getting out into that nature. Some locations take more work than others but it’s always worth the effort. And you’re right about the skateboards - my brothers and I are proud to carry our battle scars! ☠️😁😁
@the.mencollective I can always get behind a post that encourages men to get into nature, and for fostering resilience in our youth.
#1 Get to know 3 neighbours in your street. #2 Get to know 3 local business owners in your area, and support them. #3 Get to know your local library and spend time there. #4 Find out local events at your municipality. GET TO KNOW THE PEOPLE AROUND
@the.mencollective Good message, George. I live in a big city and its hard for me to reconcile urban life with the way I grew up in the country surrounded by fields and wildlife. I put forth an effort to know my neighbors and have become friends with them. It does better my life.
@thechristianalpha That's a good word broski. I'm a natural extrovert so it's in my nature to meet the people I see on a regular basis. Most of the people happen to be at the gym because that is the place I go most frequently. It also helps to facilitate relationships where we can share the gospel and make disciples.❤️
The Rite of Improvement! Today the agenda is improving your life from your shortcomings and failures. In today's world, the greatest error we are taught as young boys in both our families and in the "school" system is the following: You must be perfe

What has helped you become who you are? On this day 90 years ago, a man named Josemaria Escriva decided to start something that would impact many ordinary people. From the beginning of time it was viewed that the only feasible way for men to followRome, Italy
@riteofmanhood @thesedated that's very inspiring and motivational. Thank you for what you do.
The Rite of Meaning. Often we don't look to the sky and say: "What is it all for?" By that I mean the meaning of life and the nature of existence itself. Despite philosophical and religious beliefs, we all must face the question of our own existence
@thesedated I am still seeking answers to this day. Doubt I will stop anytime soon. The nice thing is, for every answer comes another question.
How have your travels influenced your perspective of the world as a man? For me it has been meeting different people and seeing the unity in humanity. Let me know your thoughts!Madrid, Spain
@davidmonticalvo It exposes me to different lifestyles (eg busy in places like New York vs more relaxed like Tennessee). It helps me understand what I appreciate more in my own life.
@effortlessengagement Travels have taught me to be more grateful and resourceful. A significant portion of people in the Philippines live with very little money and material items but make do with what they have..

@activeconfidence When I started treating Saturday and Sunday like any other day of the week, I got a lot of stuff done while also having time for fun. It’s better than sleeping in and wondering where did the weekend go when Monday rolls around.

The Rite of Journaling! Something that many men struggle with, especially in this fast paced day in age, is the ability to reflect altogether, and note one's thoughts on paper. Journaling has been something that many successful and influential men o
@riteofmanhood @riteofmanhood I hope you don't spend a lot of time in the stationary store as me.
@riteofmanhood @manbydesign.ca that's a great pen. Stationary acts as one of those small things to inspire big Journaling reflections.
The Rite of Self Culture and Etiquette has become a very lost and well abandoned part of our western civilisation, in daily life. Although many generations did have a sense of formality, social structure and norms for daily life. They seemed to have
@riteofmanhood @thesedated absolutely true brother. It's our job to educate in daily life through personal encounter, and lead by example. I have been on dates where people in a restaurant are inspired by me just simply pulling out a chair and taking the wall facing side.
@riteofmanhood @the.mencollective This is something I am slowly reflecting on and formulating my personal take on. Not to mention consulting with many people such as yourself. Etiquette will be tricky when it comes to standardising rules for everyday life in this day in age. For now, you can have a read of the two books above if you can get a hold of them.
One of the physiological aspects which define our manhood is TESTOSTERONE! I want to remind everyone of the importance of taking time from our busy week to spend time with family and friends. Also vitally to find time in our schedule for recreationa

@smallguysmedia Question is: when does a man become a man? Love your page idea. It is definitely needed.

@the.mencollective @riteofmanhood No problem, man.
Identity is a vital part of becoming and growing as a man. What we might call "your fire" is of vital importance, as it represents your unique identity (AKA You) that you must come to know very intimately. I want to encourage all men to look deep in
Many of you might be wondering why an axe, rose and classical hat make our symbol here at the rite of Manhood? HAT - The hat symbolises the heads of all men, who is the person itself who is striving to live a manly life to his full capacity. AXE -
@doktor_faun Chivalry, yes. 👍From French "le chevalier" (or German "Kavalier"), which means "knight". And so chivalry contains strength in itself. - - - Great post, dude!
Our motto here at the Rite of Manhood is: LEAD - A man is not called to dominate others, but to initiate and instigate in all the aspects of his life. A true leader is not a dictator, but someone who must initiate first, so that he can be the FIRST
@effortlessengagement @riteofmanhood good man! I'm glad they were able to find that heroic. What's impressive is your ability to negotiate as opposed to resorting to violence..
@effortlessengagement @effortlessengagement 👏
Starting this new worldwide initiative, hopefully we can take you all on the journey with us. Remember the key to becoming a man is to first find yourself. Take a moment during your week to reflect on this. What are your thoughts? #riteofmanhood #roHong Kong
@riteofmanhood @thechristianalpha that's a very important point. Nature is key because it defines the objective nature of masculinity. It's time to revive manliness!
