All I need is sunshine, a great city vibe & new @ted_baker booties
And water, oxygen, food & many other stuff but you get my point, right?
I‘m sure by now I‘ve convinced you enough how much I love wearing Ted Baker, I always get so many compliments whenever I wear anything from them and last weekend in Amsterdam was no different!

Do you have a favorite street in the place you live in?
Is it because it’s a spot where you like to dine or just because it’s cute?
My favorite one in Cambridge is Orchard street, both because it offers a lovely walk and because two of my very dear pubs are nearby, Clarendon Arms and Elm Tree

York
Postcard from York
I’ve only spent a day in this little English town but I loved every second of it! We started with a great (and huge!) coffee at @micklegatesocial , offering a sunny view on the city wall where we then later on started our city tour. Following the Wall is the best way to see all the importan parts of the town, including the gorgeous York Minister (behind me)! Right there is also where we had an amazing brunch at @brewandbrownie!
Happy and full we felt more courageous to explore more touristy parts of the town such as the Shambles street. Although timber framed, chaotic houses in this street are interesting to see, a way more interesting street to not miss in my opinion is Fossgate! This is where you’ll find York’s two best pubs (The Blue Bell and The Hop) as well as... wait for it... world’s most delicious to-die-for flapjacks! at @springespresso !
Do you guys know/like flapjacks? (I’m obsessed!)

I have been investing the last couple of weekends working on my UK bucket list and visiting the Whitby Abbey was a definite highlight!

A must when visiting Edinburgh is a visit to Dean Village a quiet part on the edge of otherwise busy city center. The walk there is part of the experience as you will pass by Sunday’s Stockbridge market where you can grab your lunch or snack and continue your way walking next to Water of Leith surrounded by peaceful greenery

It’s time to tell you about best views in Edinburgh
Hiking up to Arthur’s Seat was definitely my favorite one and as you can see on the photo here, the view on the city is stunning! Also, towards the end of the hike you get to see the rolling hills melting into the coast on the other side
If you’re short on time or not up to hiking (which takes ~ 2h), great view is served from Calton Hill! Come here during sunset, bring a bottle of wine and enjoy!

Let’s talk about things to indulge in Edinburgh
If you like deep fried foods then Scotland is a place to be! They fry everything and anything and if you doubt it feel free to bring your own food to Cafe Piccante and they’ll fry it for you. For the believers, go for the classics including double crunch pizza & fried Mars bar.
No worries, there are healthier options to have, such as seafood at Cafe Royal (one of my favorite pubs as well!), brunch at The Larder or pies at Auld Jack’s Pie Shoppe.
Great cocktails are served at The Devil’s Advocate and beer at The Bow Bar or Brewdog bar.
Don’t miss hot chocolate from Mary’s Milk bar and sweets from Lovecrumbs!

One thing I can count on after being geographically separated is that he’ll always have a little surprise ready waiting for me I do like flowers but he knows that what I really enjoy is a good chocolate or - even better - some tasty, spoon ready @movenpickicecream_ch. Spoiler alert
Have you ever discovered that the top place to visit on your travels was actually the worst?
That’s how I felt when visiting St Peter’s Pool during my recent visit to Malta (see second photo). Although it’s hard to reach, it looks as if that doesn’t matter because half of island’s population was there! Resulting in having no place to leave your towel & the sea is so dirty that you don’t want to either.
And while I’m rambling, you can also skip visiting nearby Marsaxlokk, a fisihing village with mediocre seafood dishes that don’t even compare to the food we had in Valletta.

Valleta, Malta
This is where we have spent the second half of our time on Malta and we loved it! This tiny walled city is Malta‘s capital and there is so much to see and so many great places to eat&drink it‘s hard to pick the favorites!
The two restaurants you absolutely should not miss are Legligin & Trattoria Da‘Pippo
Best bars include Wild Honey, 67 Kapitali (try their pastizzi!), San Paolo Naufrago and if you prefer wine over beer head to Bridge or Trabuxu wine bars
Other places I really enjoyed are Museum Cafe (local spot for coffee and lunch), Cafe Prego & Cafe Cordina (yummy cakes!) ️

Gozo is the second largest island in the Maltese archipelago, yet still very tiny and quite different from Malta
I have spend half a day exploring Gozo‘s quite villages and beautiful cliffs, one of which is a very famous one featured in the Games of Thrones series where Daenerys married her first love... Unfortunately the Azure window was destroyed after a storm two years ago but the beautiful coast is still there!
How many of you are looking forward to the last season of GoT?

Mdina was truly fascinating to visit! Timeless atmosphere and many cultural treasures made this antient city my favorite day trip on Malta!
What‘s the most beautiful walled city you ever saw?
Mdina served as Malta‘s capital and although it‘s known under different names, The noble city describes it the best due to many of the Malta’s noble families still residing there.
Since half a day will be enough to explore this walled city, you might opt for an early morning visit and stay for lunch at Coogi‘s (ask to be seated at the terrace). Another great option is Medina restaurant. If you are staying for dinner then De Mondion is a must!
