HOW TO DO A SPLIT! It’s all about hip and hamstring flexibility.  Make sure your muscles are warm first.Then hold these 3 poses to help you get there: Deep lungeSeated herkie stretch Pigeon pose. I like to treat stretching like weight training, as in doing it in reps (or seconds) and sets. Hold each stretch for 30 seconds and repeat 4x. Just like anything, flexibility takes practice but it’s super rewarding, helps you maintain a strong range of motion in your joints + reduces your risk of injuries. Trust your journey. @dashdood ️Here are some bodyweight moves you can do anywhere. (I like to repeat 15x each for 5 rounds). Exercise isn’t complicated, it’s instinctive, sometimes humans just make it more extra than it needs to be lol. My mantras: Do something active everyday and do it from the inside out. hello from down under!!!️i’ve been doing only outdoor activities and I feel so light and agile and HAPPY ENDORPHINS (+ very tan lolz). the Aussie sun is wayyyy stronger- it’s summertime here and the sweat shreds are realll. to make your own circuit workout: combine a few of these exercises together and repeat 3-5x. be creative, there are no rules! just watch your form and give it 110% effort. (knee to tuck jumps, squat to shoulder press, jump lunges, plank shoulder taps, jump rope, high knees, sprints, burpees, box jumps, etc). training for me has always been about emotional fitness first, then functionality/athleticism and lastly aesthetics/the body is a BONUS. this trip has been so enriching and refreshing #fromtheinsideout so I want to give a big thank you @activeescapes for having me! I was thrown completely out of my element and have met so many amazing humans from around the world. 3 more days to go before homebound. 🇦🇺🇺🇸OK ALSO please appreciate how nicely the music matches up to the movements, this wasn’t an accident + took me way too long to edit, s’oddly satisfying. @gymshark
