@keyruh_gabrielle Yoga is amazing and I love this page, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to post this picture... it’s a lovely image but this girl, although very beautiful and into her practice, is far too thin. WhAt message is this sending out to young impressionable people?
@sjanaelise @keyruh_gabrielle @keyruh_gabrielle what message is your comment also having? That it’s not okay to shame curvy women, but it’s okay to judge and criticize thin women too? Body shaming is body shaming, regardless of the context. Allow ALL women, (including myself) to be able to show themselves proudly. I have legs that allow me to adventure throughout this beautiful world. Arms to hug those I love. A body to house a heart capable of unconditional love and a head that holds immeasurable power and potential. Why does it matter the shape, weight or size of those limbs and body parts? We’re all just conscious energy; souls having a human experience. I don’t judge other based on the amount of space they do or don’t take up, so why should anyone else? 💛✨ It’s beautiful that you are woke enough to understand that body shaming larger bodies is bad, but it might be healing to find some more acceptance of ALL kinds of bodies too ❤️ This pic is of me. I am happy, confident and healthy. I am full of life, energy and am so thankful to have a body to move and breathe and do yoga. I love myself unconditionally. And I try my absolute best to love others unconditionally too. It’s about time we all start treating others in the same way 🌙
