This morning, I emerged out of the warmth of my sleeping bag.

And into the cold and dark (0'C/32'F) forest, where I was camped.

I slung my guitar over my shoulder, placed my numb fingers on the fret board and began to play.

I sung and strummed as I strolled the campsite. Softly waking 18 Yr8 boys who I was looking after for their last morning of school camp.

One by one they slowly arose out of their tents to join me around the camp fire I had just lit for us all.

Today I am grateful for this wonderfully rare opportunity to share my voice and music in this way.

PS - photo is an oldie, as I didn't take any to capture this story above.

Yet again it's mother nature teaching me the greatest lessons.

Telling me to slow the F down.

To be the tortoise not the hare in this thing called life slow and steady baby.

Ive come to the realisation that I have been operating in life at 2x speed and it's truly not serving me.

The candle that burns twice as bright, burns twice as fast.

So, in order for me to feel at my best, and I believe anyone to feel at their best.

We must tune into the natural rythyms of life and surrender to it's perfect flow.

I know I'm making myself too busy with work and other to do's when I'm not playing the guitar.

For it becomes the thing that I don't have time for...so I tell myself anyway.

But if I don't have time for my creative and playful expression, then clearly my priorities are whickity whacked.

It was super nice to pull out the 6 stringer for a strum and sing at the beach today, and to simply let time flow by.

Remember to make time for the things that make you feel great and that you enjoy doing.

Regardless of what the to do list says ️

FLOW STATE.

The state in which a person performing an activity is immersed with energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment.

I've noticed that my most optimal experiences in life have mostly come from being in this state.

Whether it's riding motorcycles, facilitating groups at camps, training in the gym, making love, travelling or insert any adrenal based activity.

It is in this state that I feel most alive, vital and aligned, and thus now somewhere I'm going to try to spend more time.

In order to further enrich my experience of life and increase my level of happiness. Smething I have been definitely struggling with recently.
I also believe that by starting to pay more attention to where I actually achieve this state.

I will be able to help guide myself and my life somewhat in the right direction: flow = go. No flow = no go.

I would love to know where do you find yourself most in flow?

Break the cycle. Break your cycle.

I'm all for good rythyms and routines to keep life in flow and moving forward.

But sometimes it's just as, if not more important, to break your cycle from time to time.

To go out and do things that you wouldn't normally do.

To eat the foods you wouldn't normally eat.

To go to the places you wouldn't normally go.
To see people that you wouldn't normally see.

Because who knows what unexpected adventures and experiences await on the other side.

I'm fortunate enough to spend a few days every week working in the outdoors.

Which forces me to break my cycle of working and living from my home in Dunsborough.

To being in profound nature, camping out and spending time around tribe.

I always leave fulfilled in ways that my everyday, routine life just can't provide.

Often inspired to explore other alternatives and ways of being in other areas of my life.

My challenge to you this week.

Is to do something you wouldn't normally do, to break the cycle and see what wonder awaits.

You could end up with a view like this for all you know!

If it isn't obvious already. I don't live too far from the ocean, and it's likely that it will always remain this way.

The ocean provides me with the space to cleanse, refresh and revitalise whenever needed.

Not to mention, that it grants me all of the healing energy that mother nature so gracefully provides.

It would thus be a disservice to myself to not be around it, and it's because of this that I constantly choose to be.

I'm fortunate enough to be in a position, where I get to choose where and how I spend my time on a daily basis.

Which generally involves swimming in or at least sitting by the ocean.

This is possible because many years ago. I got connected to that the typical way of living.

Working a 9-5, driving in traffic and working in an office building was not for me.

I didn't want to be stuck inside all day grinding away, while I missed out on spending time doing the things I loved.

Having to sacrifice the things that were fulfilling to me, like spending time in nature, in order to earn an income.

So instead, I sought about other ways to earn an income in a way that was more aligned with how I wanted to live.

This is where I discovered the online business world, which fast forward a few years.

Allows me to spend my days at the beach, hanging with friends, exercising and chipping away at my online enterprise.

I haven't stopped working altogether and now just drive around in a Lambo.

I still work part-time here and there, and comfortably cruise around in my Nissan.

But instead of wearing shoes on my feet and clocking in at an office at 8 am two coffees deep.

I explore the coastline barefoot in between my own work hours to soak in the magic of the ocean.

I share this, not to say that I live a completely work free life, because that certainly isn't true.

Instead I share, because I want you to know that choosing how you live your life is totally possible.

Not just for me, but for you also.

So, if you would love to spend more time by the ocean or doing things that are meaningful to you.

Comment ocean below and I'll share with you what it is I'm doing that enables me to live this way.

Anyways. Time to head down to the beach 🤙

Hey everybody.
I'm a bit overwhelmed with social media at the moment and thus haven't been as active in the past few days.

But I truly believe it is a healthy part of the process and a break from everything now and again is so important.

I'm going to be over here filling up my cup, watching from a far, and soaking up as much of my offline life as I can.

If it's something you also have similar feelings about, then I totally recommend for you to do the same.
I'm sure we won't miss too much.

It's the ebb and flow and life, and I know that I'll return clearer and more fired up soon

I think it's strange that we spend so much time dreaming and wishing of being somewhere else.

Rather than using that time to embrace the incredible things that are already right here.

And before I continue, I have to say that I'm SUPER guilty of this. Always seeking to be anywhere else.

However, in one day today.

I had the gift to experience more in my own backyard (extended area of where I live), than I probably have in the past 6 month's.

From this day alone.

All I can say is that there is so much magic already right here, if you actually invest the time to first find it.

Secondly open your eyes to see it and thirdly get out of your mind about being somewhere else to actually experience it.
This isn't to say that I still don't crave travel elsewhere. It's instead an important reminder for me.

About how fortunate I am to already live in such a vibrant, abundant place full of wonder.

I would love to hear where do you live, and why are you grateful for it?

I read a sign as I rode past on my mountain bike today, and it said.

Don't let your dreams, be dreams. Woah I thought. That is definitely something I don't want.

Where the grand dreams that I hold so dear in my heart and my mind, just exist as dreams to never be fulfilled.

But rather as things that I have the incredible opportunity to live out and live into for the rest of my days.

From a very young age. I've always known in my heart that I was destined for something great.

And as a boy, I always dreamed of being on the top of the mountain.
The famous singer, professional sportsman, a superhero, motorcycle world champion.

Or the guy who saves someone from a burning building, and honestly little has changed.

I am still on my journey to discovering why exactly I was put here and where the top of the mountain actually lies for me.

But one thing that I do know. Is that it's all so beautifully coming into fruition.

I know this, because an online biz opportunity, where Ill actually get to create my desired freedom lifestyle.

Has just landed at my doorstep, and I know this to be true because within my short time of being involved.

I've already had some success!! Something that is super rare in the online space I must add.

This has left me feeling both immense amounts of relief and rapture.

Because for a while there I had actually lost all faith that any of this would ever work out.

Anyways.

Now that I've actually been able to have a look into it all and actually experience it for myself.

I would love to share it with those who just like me, don't want to have their dreams, just be dreams.

So, we are doing another LIVE call this coming Sunday morning, Perth time.

In a private FB group for anyone who may of missed the last one that we did.

I need to keep reminding myself that I'm just doing the best with what I've got.

I definitely don't have it all figured out, and like this handstand, I sure as hell make mistakes all of the time.

I'm learning bit by bit that it is ok to not always be at my best, or to be constantly crushing it.

So rather than to keep setting the bar so high on myself that it leads to disappointment and self criticism.

Im working on bring proud of myself for the things I do, the way that I do them, regardless of the outcome.

And to know that just by being willing to show up and do my best every day, is more than enough.

I have exciting news from recent ventures I have just embarked upon, which are helping me through this process.

And I'm very much looking forward to sharing more with you all tomorrow :)

This morning I was taken back to the jungle.

The jungle of Papua New Guinea. The jungle of the Kokoda Track.

It has been several years since I embarked upon this wild jungle journey with my dear friend @thelakeyscape

Hiking up to 20kms per day for a total of 6 days, where there was no other action to take than to walk.

No work to go to, no phone calls to make, no weights to lift, nothing. Nothing except for a trail, a pair of hiking boots and hours to kill walking.
Part of this totally amazing, the other part strange as hell, like why would we do this?

This morning I went for a trail walk (in Denmark), the longest hike I have been on for a while, and in the rain might I add.

Here I found myself with no phone, no one else with me, no camera, no sunshine, nothing.

Nothing except, a trail, a pair of hiking shoes, some rain and some time spent just walking through the forest.

A beautifully humbling experience, that gave me a lot of insight into how much I seek constant stimuli or a to have a constant why behind doing things, rather than just doing it because, why not.

Why not, just walk on a trail alone, in the rain, with no intention other than to walk and listen to the birds amongst the thick fog, dense shrub, and swaying trees.

Why not, stop the routine of your life, put on a backpack filled with the barest necessities, and hike through a random jungle for 6 days with your best mate, for no other reason than because you can.

Why not, go and do something that you wouldn't normally do, or go and do that thing that you have been putting off for far too long.

You don't need a why, or even stimuli. Just put on ya boots and get walking!

This photo was taken in 2016, after we had finished the Kokoda Track and left the jungle.
Here we found ourselves at a flash 4-star dive resort on an island called Tufi.

In the reintegration phase of our wild adventure. What a crazy contrast being at this place was.

A part of me, that you dont normally see. A motorcycle rider, kicking it, in the country.

Trials (this motorbike sport - think rock climbing meets motocross) has been such a huge part of my life.

But also something many people don't really know about me.

Mainly because it came before my Instagram days, and all of the things I'm up to now.

But essentially since I could walk I have been on two wheels, always on a bicycle or motorbike of some sort.

After many years on a football field, I turned all of my energy into trials, where it was my soul sporting outlet for 6 years.

It was something I spent many hours doing, constantly practicing, working on and travelling to rural country sites to compete for.

All of which was shared by my incredible father's side, as it was something we did together.

After years of dedication I managed to place in the top 3 in the state on a couple of occasions.

Compete at events across Australia, and have the privilege of representing WA at national championships.

A couple of years ago I decided to hang up the boots and see what else was out there for me to explore and play with in life.

Trials will always have a special place in my heart, for I owe, so very much to it.

For the level of life experience it provided me over the year's in developing me into who I am today.

Not to mention the depth in which it grew my father's and I love and connection.
Which is the part I'm actually most grateful for.

Coming down south this week provided a great little opportunity to dust off the boots and have a ride again for the first ride in over a year.

What a great bit of fun this was to get out and have a blast in the country side again.

And, if I do say so myself, it seems as though I've still got it
