#ad | I remember feeling not outdoorsy enough when first moving to the US. We were living in Boulder, Colorado and it seemed that everyone was either a triathlete, pro climber, or ran 100 mile races every weekend (just for fun!) I enjoyed riding my bike around town, hiking in the mountains, and taking the occasional camping trip but still felt like a bit of a phony in comparison to most people I saw outdoors and on social media. Everyone else seemed like they had so much experience, hoards of gear, and often a lot of judgement towards people who were newer to the outdoor scene I think this feeling of not being experienced enough did sometimes hold me back from trying new activities and getting out of my comfort zone. These days I've learned to put any judgement aside and it's crazy how many new things I've been able to experience because of it! I've hiked in some of the most beautiful landscapes, summited mountains, taken pack-rafting trips, gone SUP-boarding, mountain biking, snowshoeing, ice skating on frozen lakes, rock climbing, and more. And I still like to occasionally throw on a girly dress and take pretty photos out in nature Does that make me less outdoorsy? Nahhhh, it just means I know what makes me feel alive and I'm not afraid to go get it In partnership with @BurtsBees this #EarthMonth #ForceForNature

@theloveassembly Amazing!!

@zachallia 😍😍😍 holy

Ireland’s rugged coastline was such a dream to explore. I first visited the country with my parents when I was only 16, which was amazing but I honestly don’t remember too much from the trip. One thing I do recall is visiting the Cliffs of Moher and being blown away by the scale of it all. I remember laying on the grassy edge and peeking down to the Atlantic Ocean, capturing funny selfies with my family, and learning about the area’s history. Little did I know that I would find myself returning to Ireland some 13 years later and witnessing sea cliffs almost triple their height, the impressive Slieve League Cliffs of Donegal (pictured). Another bonus of visiting this beautiful spot is that entrance is completely free and you’ll likely find yourself to be one of the only tourists there! We had the cliffs all to ourselves for sunset during a visit last month #SlieveLeague #Donegal #Ireland #WildAtlanticWay #LoveIreland

@marisahampe Incredible view 🙌💙

@marisahampe @reneeroaming i can imagine 😍

I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery, air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.’ ↠ Sylvia Plath
⠀
The above quote pretty much sums up my feeling when entering a park like Bryce Canyon... the beauty blows me away every time. There was snow blanketing the hoodoos during our recent trip and I love how it accentuated the vibrant orange and red hues (swipe to see a horizontal image of the scene)

@andrewknapp Makes me go wow

Not even the rain could dampen Moraine Lake’s beauty that morning
⠀
I had hoped for a magical sunrise... the kind that gave us a crazy pink sky, golden light, and the perfect lake reflection. Instead we got thick clouds and rain. In the end I kind of prefer the misty and dreamy vibes we got

I received a message from a follower the other day saying that they had been inspired to visit their first national park after reading one of my blog posts... and someone else messaged me to say thank you for the motivation to take their first backpacking trip These kind of messages make me so happy and I love hearing from you guys! So I’m curious... have you ever visited a specific destination, traveled to a national park, hiked a particular trail, or maybe tried something new because of something I’ve shared? I’d love to hear your experience and whether you enjoyed it!

#ad | Spending time in nature is such a vital piece to my happiness ️ I definitely notice a reduction in energy, motivation and my overall mood when I've been stuck inside... and an almost instantaneous increase in joy when I finally get my butt out the door
⠀
It's not just the Vitamin D that my body and mind craves, but also the quiet beauty of walking through a forest of pines, swimming in an alpine lake, or out exploring the desert wilderness. It's the escape from to-do lists and the never ending feeling of having something I could be doing that's more productive. It's the sensation of my heart beating a little faster as I reach a mountain summit... forever reminding me just how lucky I am to call this beautiful earth home
⠀
Do you also notice a difference in your overall mood and happiness when spending more time outdoors? #ForceForNature

@followmeaway So much magic

@theloveassembly One of the places at the top of the list for me this year! And thanks for sharing the castle acc. a little bit more obsessed now... 🏰 gosh it’s so otherworldly and magical 😍✨

We arrived at this cenote early in the morning and initially had it all to ourselves. Matt urged me to quickly jump in so we could take some photos before the crowds arrived. The thing about cenotes is that they are often in dark caves/pits and you can rarely see the bottom. Plus, there were tons of decently sized fish that like to nibble at your feet (you can see a couple in the first photo)... AND, to top it off, it’s said the Mayan’s used cenotes for human sacrifice back in the day, with bones laying at the bottom of some of the pits. So you can imagine why I hesitated to be the first to jump in
⠀
Curiosity got the better of me and I’m happy to report that swimming in that crystal clear blue water was an incredible experience... though I could have done without those fish eating away at my feet Would you jump in first or wait to see someone else do it?!
⠀
P.S. I didn’t edit that water to look so blue, it was exactly the same in real life (if not MORE blue!) I have a blog post about visiting this cenote and others around the Yucatan Peninsula - click the link in my if you’re interested in learning more #mexico #yucatan
