This is a follow on from my post last week where I listed my top 5 fat loss tips (don’t diet, listen to your body, minimise stress, love your body first & nourish your body). You guys asked for more so be sure to save this post 🤭

I’m here to tell you that losing fat (not weight!) IS possible but it IS tricky! Learning to fuel your body appropriately whilst putting yourself in the smallest calorie deficit to promote sustainable fat loss is my & Angie’s expertise & the reason we created our @lovelivinglean program!!  We want to see women all over the world THRIVE whilst nourishing their bodies! 🥗Please see our six simple habits below to promote fat loss!

1️⃣ Eat 5 serves veggies/ salad EVERY DAY (1 serve = 1 cup) & 2 pieces of fruit (you don’t get fat from fructose 🤪) it’s all about the fiber & micros baby .
.
2️⃣ Add protein especially at breakfast or you will likely overeat calories in crappy carbs / processed food later in the day and still not feel satisfied  .
.
3️⃣ Add FAT... unsaturated (not coconut oil) to decrease inflammation & stress (especially after a workout!) 🥑🥜 .
.
4️⃣ Periodise carbs to fall around your training sessions and upscale if you train harder  #carbsarelife but use them to fuel your training sessions! .
.
5️⃣ Eat mindFULLY .. try to finish (chew + swallow) every mouthful before taking the next & wait until you’re actually feeling hungry to eat. Put your cutlery down between each mouthful 
.

6️⃣ Drink 1-2 glasses of water WITH every meal & snack for effective hydration 
.
.

 NEW YEAR INSPO  There’s nothing quite like a fully meal prepped fridge to help me hit my goals in January 
.

Starting at the top, I have meals for @davidtpitt and I this week which include spag bol with turkey mince & quorn (vegetarian protein) + stir fry with tofu & chicken tumeric curry with veggies & brown rice  I’ve also got plenty of @yoproau for my breakfast & snacks as I love that it’s high in protein  On the second shelf is some dark choc with caramel & sea salt  plus sliced cheese with grain crackers for snacks & more meal prepped meals (I leave 4 days worth in the fridge then freeze the rest to re-heat later in the week)  I’ve got the small tubs of @yoproau which I take to work (as I’m time poor so it saves me measuring it out from the big tubes which I use in my breakfast!)  The third shelf has eggs & olives for omelettes, avocado for salads, a bit of fruit for snacks & carrots which I chop up and munch on when I’m hungry and single bags of chicken breast & roasted sweet potato for salads. The last shelf has mushrooms, kale & tomatoes (which I add to my omelettes or salads) + boiled eggs for snacks (cuz you guys know how much I love snacking!) 🤪

3 tips for the BUSY woman who has no time but wants to heal her gut!

Seriously, if you’re too busy to read this - these tips are for you!  They are easy to implement tips that you can do in your busy life RIGHT NOW! .
.
1️⃣ Reduce don’t eliminate! The thing with gut health is we never really know what causes our symptoms most of the time & the majority of my clients get HUGE relief from reducing known triggers in their diet instead of eliminating whole food groups. You don’t have to give it up forever but be wary of your portions. Reduce known gut triggers such as alcohol, soft drink, carbonated drinks, coffee, milk (swap to lactose free milk), fruit juice, artificially sweetened drinks & energy drinks plus foods such as deep fried foods, windy veggies such as cabbage, beans, cauliflower & onion, processed foods, large servings of bread, pasta or fruit or large serving sizes of meals (stick to smaller sized meals)

2️⃣ Instead of wasting your money on expensive pills, supplements & superfoods... eat REAL food! The kind of food your great great great grandparents used to eat. Get back to basics and eliminate all the processed additives, ingredients & packaged food. Then you’ll know if it’s truly gut triggers in a whole food diet vs a poor diet in general 🤭

3️⃣ Forgetting about food all together - let’s focus on getting adequate sleep & reducing stress. A stressed out person often has a stress out gut. The mind & gut are very closely intertwined so until you get your head right, you’ll never fully resolve your gut symptoms 🤯 Learn to go to bed earlier, meditate, be grateful & manage your stress levels

You guys love it when I give you little nuggets of info so here are my top 5 fat loss hacks as we start the new year, it’s important to remember these 5 tips so you consistently maintain your healthy habits all year round!

Tip 1️⃣: DON’T DIET! 🥂You guys know how much I preach this & am against ‘dieting’ because we know diets don’t work long term! Google ‘the dieting cycle’ to learn more about it and why I advise against dieting ️
.
.
Tip 2️⃣: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY ️ It’s the best way to maintain a healthy weight. Your body will often tell you when you’re hungry, when you’ve had enough or when you need to give it a little TLC  Remember your body is an amazing self regulator so start to pick up on the things it’s telling you. Are you feeling low on energy, skin breaking out, mouth sores, bloated tummy, brittle hair?!? These can all be signs that you’re not nourishing your body properly ️ Tip 3️⃣: MINIMISE STRESS ️ Stress can impact weight loss & weight gain but the overall effects of stress on the body are significant in themselves! A lot of women stress eat so handling your stress and finding other ways to manage it (besides eating) is something that will pay off in the long term ️

Tip 4️⃣: LEARN TO LOVE YOUR BODY  Of course, take great care of your body but do so from a place of love  I’m not saying you can’t work on being a healthier, fitter or stronger version of yourself but love where you’re at now and enjoy the journey rather than punishing your body because you hate it. Learn to change from a place of love first & the journey will be all that sweeter ️ .

Tip 5️⃣: NOURISH YOUR BODY 🥑🥬 You don’t need to stop loving food or stop eating food but learn to have a better relationship with food. Learn to truly nourish your body with proper fuel the majority of the time & occasionally top up your soul with a little something special too 🥂🤪 Starving your body doesn’t work so learn to fuel it properly and work with it, not against it

I’m backkkkk  Thank you for being patient with me while I had some much needed time off social media! ️ I had an amazing Christmas & New Years, moved house, de-cluttered, hit the beach  & just relaxed! Here’s my Christmas present to you ladies In the past 4 years I’ve learnt 4 important things which I’m going to share with you now..

1️⃣ There is no ‘perfect’ weight. I’m the “heaviest” I’ve been in my life but I’m also the fittest, strongest & leanest I’ve been  Ps... Lifting weights DOES NOT make women manly! ‍️🤪

2️⃣ The more you restrict your diet, the more you over eat and potentially binge eat. Nobody is perfect and your eating habits don’t have to be either - remember this ️
.
.
3️⃣ MINDSET is EVERYTHING  If you think you can’t - you won’t! If you believe you can - you WILL  Change your fixed mindset into a growth mindset. This means that even if you fail, you just keep going until you find a solution that works #bossbabe
